The Mechanics of Systematic Mailbox Warming

New IP addresses have zero reputation history. If a new IP suddenly transmits 50,000 emails on day one, receiving filters categorize the behavior as compromised botnet spam and defer all connections.

Gradual Doubling Principle
Increase daily volume by no more than 30% to 50% per day. If deferral rates spike above 5%, hold volume constant for 48 hours before resuming increases.
Per-Domain Virtual Queues
Different ISPs have different thresholds. Microsoft Outlook is far more sensitive to volume surges than Yahoo. Dedicated MTAs isolate traffic per ISP domain queue.
Seed Engagement Blending
Mix seed accounts with high-engagement subscribers during the first 10 days to train spam filters that incoming mail is actively anticipated by recipients.
