Domain blocklists are separate from IP lists — URIBL and SURBL flag the domains inside your links and from-addresses. This checker sweeps 10 domain lists including Spamhaus DBL, SURBL multi and URIBL, resolves your A-records and MX context, and links each listing to its delisting flow.

Scans domain reputations across Spamhaus DBL, SURBL Multi, URIBL, and SpamEatingMonkey. Checks whether your domain is flagged as spam, abused, or flagged under zero-reputation freshly registered domain rules.

Tool Overview: What It Does & Core Purpose

The Free Domain Blacklist Checker provides comprehensive reputation intelligence for your root domain, sending subdomains, and custom click-tracking links. In modern email filtering systems, receiving mailbox providers (including Google Workspace, Microsoft Defender, and Proofpoint) evaluate not just the sending server’s IP address, but also the reputation of every domain mentioned in the email headers, the From: address, and links embedded within the message body. This tool executes real-time queries against authoritative domain blocklists including the Spamhaus Domain Blocklist (DBL), SURBL Multi, URIBL Realtime, and SpamEatingMonkey Fresh. If your domain or custom tracking domain is listed on any of these registries, your outbound emails will face severe deliverability penalties—frequently landing directly in recipient spam folders regardless of server IP reputation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a Domain Blacklist (DBL / URIBL)? ▾

A Domain Blacklist (such as Spamhaus DBL or SURBL) is a database of domain names identified as sources of spam, phishing, scams, or hosting malware. Unlike IP blacklists that track servers, domain blocklists track the domains appearing in email headers and hyperlinked within the email body.

How does a domain blacklist differ from an IP blacklist? ▾

An IP blacklist evaluates the connecting mail server’s IP address (e.g. 46.105.72.90). A domain blacklist evaluates the actual domain name (e.g. yourcompany.com) found in the From header, Return-Path, DKIM signature, or body URLs. If your domain is on a DBL, switching sending IPs will not fix your deliverability.

Why are newly registered domains frequently flagged? ▾

Spammers frequently purchase hundreds of throwaway domains to blast campaigns before abandoning them. Consequently, anti-spam systems place newly registered domains (under 14 to 30 days old) in a ‘neutral’ or ‘low-trust’ quarantine category. Registries like SpamEatingMonkey Fresh explicitly flag domains registered within the last 5 to 15 days.

Can custom tracking domains get blacklisted? ▾

Yes. If spammers or shared users of your email platform send malicious content using identical tracking domain patterns, the tracking domain can end up on URIBL or SURBL. When this happens, any legitimate email containing your tracking links will be marked as spam.

Frequently asked questions

Can a clean IP still have a blacklisted domain?

Yes — URIBL/SURBL list domains independently of IPs. If your links use a shared shortener or abused tracking domain, campaigns suffer even from pristine IPs.

How do domains get delisted?

Each zone has its own flow (linked per result); domain lists often clear automatically after abuse stops.
